As we celebrate our 75th anniversary this year, Saltmarsh has embarked on a mission to contribute 1,944 hours of community service in recognition of our founding year, 1944. With a new service focus each month, and countless other projects planned by our Saltmarsh family across the region, our team has been working hard to drive toward our goal with more than 440 service hours already in the books.
For February and March, our service project of choice benefited the GFWC South Baldwin Women’s Club, an organization near and dear to Vanessa Feely, a consultant in our Financial Institution Consulting practice.
Their Say Yes to Your Dress drive called for donations of new and gently-used prom gowns, formal dresses, shoes, jewelry and accessories for a Prom Closet event, being held on March 24th. The event helps young ladies of South Baldwin County who would like to attend their prom, but do not have the resources to purchase a dress.
With the help of our Saltmarsh family and communities, we collected 51 dresses, along with shoes and accessories to help this very worthy cause.
“I am blown away by the generosity of our firm and communities,” said Feely. “Thanks to you, these young ladies will be able to get dressed up and enjoy a special evening making memories they might have otherwise missed out on.”
We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this and other causes as we honor our 75th Anniversary. We would have never reached this milestone without those that have helped us over the years. As we look ahead to what the year has in store, we are happy to use our celebration as a platform to bring greater awareness to the needs and organizations doing great work in our communities.
