We’re proud to announce the following internal promotions as of January 1, 2025!

Sarah Oliver, CRCMPromoted to Director, Financial Institution Consulting

Sarah has 20 years of experience in Financial Institution Consulting. Her commitment to lifelong learning is evident in her extensive experience, including more than ten years conducting CFPB examinations and driving the success of regulatory change and implementation efforts.

Julie Edwards, CPAPromoted to Tax Supervisor, Tax & Accounting

Julie works with a wide range of industries, including construction, manufacturing and high net worth individuals. She has also contributed to the field through her publication, How the Supreme Court's Decision Regarding Life Insurance Proceeds Changes the Federal Estate Tax LandscapeJulie's favorite fundamental is #17, 'Treat Each Other Like Family' which resonates with her because working at Saltmarsh has shown her how her coworkers demonstrate profound compassion and concern for their colleagues.

Michael FinleyPromoted to Manager, Financial Institution Consulting

Michael has over 30 years of experience in the financial institution industry. He works with the firm’s financial institution clients providing loan review services. While having extensive experience with commercial lending, risk management, and quality assurance.

Stacie Gaffrey, CPA – Promoted to Supervisor, Audit & Assurances

Stacie's favorite part of her job is helping construction companies secure a solid financial foundation through accurate and reliable financial statements. Her favorite fundamental is #16, ‘Be a Fanatic About Response Time' because she understands that people like to feel heard, even if the problems aren't solved instantly. Communicating and keeping the client updated goes a long way.

Alex HoffaPromoted to Manager, Client Accounting & Advisory

Alex started with us in 2008. Her primary focus areas have included providing audit services for the firm’s financial institution and construction clients, as well as private companies and not-for-profit organizations. Alex connects with fundamental #17, 'Treat Each Other Like Family' because family is the most important thing to her and she is very grateful to the Saltmarsh Family.

Emily Lalas, CPAPromoted to Manager, Audit & Assurance

Emily primary areas of expertise include providing audit and assurance services to the firm’s non-profit and healthcare clients. She is active in serving non-profit organizations throughout Pensacola. Since joining Saltmarsh in 2018, it has been clear that the firm values fostering growth and well-being for both clients and team members. As a manager, she believes that empowering the team and delivering exceptional service to create a meaningful impact in the community.

Julie LongabachPromoted to Manager, Financial Institution Consulting

Julie has over 25 years of accounting and management experience, primarily serving financial institutions. She has extensive experience with financial and regulatory reporting, internal and external audits, asset liability management, ALCO and BSA. Julie connects with fundamental #5, 'Do What's Best for the Client' as a former client she experienced firsthand as a recipient of the Saltmarsh level of service. She continues this tradition for her clients.

Nancy PattonPromoted to Marketing Manager, Firm Operations

Nancy plays a key role in managing marketing initiatives for the firm. While, serving as a liaison with outside consultants in marketing, advertising, and public relations. She also plans and executes special events and seminars for the firm. Nancy connects with fundamental #24, 'Be Positive' because she believes everything is better when you are optimistic. Your smile and positive attitude can make someone else's day better.

Lisa PiotterPromoted to Administrative Supervisor, Tax & Accounting

Lisa oversees key aspects of the client experience and related administrative functions for the firm’s tax practice. She works closely with senior leadership to ensure high-quality service to our clients. Her areas of expertise include the management of CCH Practice systems and the processing and filing of tax returns. Lisa resonates with fundamental #1, 'Do the Right Thing, Always' because this sets a strong foundation and defines one's character.

Teri Rader, JM, CRCMPromoted to Manager, Financial Institution Consulting

Teri has worked with financial institutions since 1994, primarily focused on regulatory compliance, operations, project management, development of risk assessments, policies and procedures. Her experience spans across financial institutions of all sizes, including community, regional, large and international banks. Teri's favorite fundamental is #10, 'Deliver Legendary Service' as it helps the firm grow and embodies many other fundamentals. 

Jess Schultz, CPA Promoted to Supervisor, Audit & Assurances

Jess’ primary areas of expertise include providing audit and assurance services for the firm’s manufacturing and construction clients. She also has experience serving nonprofit organizations. Jess relates with the fundamental #28, 'Be a Lifelong Learner', as she loves to learn and share her knowledge.

Maia CollinsPromoted to Senior, Audit & Assurances

Maia provides audit and assurance-related services to employee pension plans, municipalities, special districts and governmental entities. She also works with a range of industries, including construction, manufacturing and high-net-worth individuals.

Kailey DawePromoted to Senior, Tax & Accounting

Kailey’s primary areas of expertise include providing tax and accounting services for individuals, corporations and partnerships. Her favorite fundamental is #10, 'Deliver Legendary Service' because she believes this is essential to business development and building strong client relationships.

Gabrielle Lucius, CPAPromoted to Senior, Tax & Accounting

Gabrielle provides tax services for a variety of the firm’s clients, including individuals, partnerships, corporations and non-profits.

Michelle Mobley, CPAPromoted to Senior, Audit& Assurance

Michelle's primary areas of expertise include providing audit and assurance services to the firm’s non-profit and small business clients. Her accounting experience also includes providing financial accounting services to private, public and government sectors. Michelle connects with fundamental #18, 'Take Ownership' because it emphasizes the importance of accountability and following through to completion. 

Carlos SaldanaPromoted to Senior Administrative Assistant, Tax & Accounting

Carlos has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting, purchasing, and property management. He demonstrates a commitment to making quality personal, being relentless about improvement, and delivering legendary service to our clients and team members.

Ian Weimer, CPA – Promoted to Senior, Audit & Assurance

Ian specializes in auditing and providing tax returns for financial institutions. He also has experience working with non-profits and 401(k) plan audits. Ian finds constant inspiration in his team, particularly through their commitment to growth and knowledge, as he strives to master his field.

Zac Weimer, CPAPromoted to Senior, Tax & Accounting

Zac specializes in the preparation of tax returns for corporations, partnerships and individuals. Zac resonates most with the fundamentals #21, 'Lean in to Growth' and #28, 'Be a Lifelong Learner', while being a reliable support for others. This allows him to strenghten his career and relationships with peers and clients. He is currently pursuing his CPA license.
