Service Spotlight: 2,000 Hours & Counting!

We have officially broken the 2,000-service hour threshold! Let’s look back at some of the projects that helped us reach our community service goal:

In August, the Pensacola crew spent the morning at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida whipping up the best home-cooked lunch! The main dish featured chicken and cheese noodle casserole, caesar salad, blueberry crunch dessert, and brownies. Our Tampa Audit Squad did the same later in the month and spent an evening with families making chicken cordon bleu casserole and salads for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay. These meals fed over 40 family members and helped take away the stress of feeding families in a difficult time.

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) serves as a home-away-from-home for children and their families when they are suffering a medical crisis. You can get involved at your local RMHC by becoming a house volunteer, donating to annual fundraisers such as Kaps 4 Kids, or by grabbing a group of friends to prepare a meal!

In September, we hit the beach to participate in International Coastal Clean-up with Keep Pensacola Beautiful! Our team, along with 200 other volunteers, walked the beaches with grabbers and buckets to collect debris from our famous white sand beaches. By the day’s end, volunteers had collected more than 340lbs of trash!

Keep Pensacola Beautiful is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful where they strive to improve and beautify communities through education and initiatives. Keep Pensacola Beautiful has many beautification programs to get involved in such as block clean-ups, recycling @ work, and community restorations.
