What can the weather teach us about investing in the stock market? If you had to live somewhere for the next 30 years, would you choose the location based on a day’s weather or the prevailing climate of the region? Logically, we would all choose based on climate, because we understand that when we buy a home, we are making a long-term decision. However, when we apply this same logic to our long-term retirement savings goals, it’s far more common for investors to make their decisions based on the weather of the day.
