Jay Newsome Joins Financial Institution Consulting Group & Expands Firm's Alabama Market Presence

We're excited to welcome Jay Newsome, CPA, as a senior manager in the firm’s Financial Institution Consulting Group.

With over 20 years of experience and recognition as one of Business Alabama Magazine's 2022 Faces of Finance, Newsome brings exceptional knowledge and expertise to Saltmarsh's team of talented accountants and consultants dedicated to advising financial institutions of varying sizes and complexity. His addition follows Saltmarsh’s strategic acquisition of Jackson Thornton's financial institution practice as part of the firm’s expansion in Alabama and throughout the Southeast.

Newsome holds a Master of Business Administration from Troy University and is a graduate of the Alabama Bankers Association’s Banking School where he received the Kay Ivey Outstanding Bank Award.
