Doss Graduates From Leadership Florida Class Of XXXIV

Saltmarsh Financial Advisors is pleased to announce that Christina Doss, AAMS® has graduated from the Leadership Florida Class of XXXIV. The goal of the ten-month educational program is to expose the 55 community leaders from across the state to a broad range of statewide critical issues with the objective of breaking down regional barriers and increasing statewide engagement and collaboration to positively impact the State’s economic development and quality of life. Subject matter experts addressed the group on topics ranging from Florida’s healthcare, education, natural resources and the ecosystem, the military’s impact on the state, Florida’s legislative process and the state’s diverse population.

“I thoroughly enjoyed the entire Leadership Florida experience and the opportunity to interact with such a diverse and accomplished group of leaders from across our State,” said Doss. “All of the speakers were incredibly informative. Two topics in particular captured my attention as it relates to opportunities for the Pensacola community. I was specifically intrigued with the importance of implementing effective early learning initiatives and its impact on school readiness and graduation rates. Additionally, the session in St. Petersburg was intriguing as it has been 10 years since I’ve traveled to that market. It was inspiring to see what the city has accomplished with a strategic community vision focused on attracting and retaining a new generation of entrepreneurs while creating a vibrant, livable and walkable city and waterfront. I see many of the same successful elements being implemented in Pensacola.”

Leadership Florida provides many opportunities for members to get involved through various initiatives in their cities or across the state. Meeting locations for Leadership Florida include Orlando, Tampa/St. Pete, Jacksonville, Tallahassee and Miami. They are planning to host a Leadership Florida meeting in Pensacola next year. We are certain that we will have many growth initiatives to share with the group!
