Saltmarsh Hosts Investments & Taxes Panel Series Throughout Florida

We started the year off on the road with a series of tax and investment-focused educational events across the state of Florida. The events featured an impressive panel of financial planning, tax, estate and investment professionals from Saltmarsh Financial Advisors, Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund, and Dimensional Fund Advisors to shed light on how a ‘one team’ approach to planning for the future provides peace of mind and benefits your bottom line.

The series kicked off in Pensacola with Saltmarsh shareholder and managing director of Saltmarsh Financial Advisors, Christina Doss, AAMS, leading the panel. She was joined by Chad Burns, CIMA, Regional Director of Dimensional’s Independent Advisor Group, as our guest investment analyst for each stop along the way. Additionally, our panel featured, Brett Snyder, JD, LLM, as the go-to panelist for all things estate, trust, and gift tax-related. Accompanying the duo was tax shareholder, David Uslan, CPA, who has over 25 years of experience working with domestic and state tax compliance. Later that evening in Destin, our guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres with our team before diving into the discussion led by Justin Tate, one of the Panhandle team’s lead advisors.

Our third stop in the series was held in Tallahassee and included senior manager, Bob Slaby, CPA, CVA, who offered more insight into the impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) and how it’s important to work with your financial professionals to stay informed on laws when they change with little warning. The series concluded in Tampa with lead market advisor Chris Stennett, CFP, as the moderator and Saltmarsh tax director, Victor Kliossis, weighing in on aspects that often impact financial advisory and tax planning.
