Thomas is a Manager in the Tax & Accounting practice of Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund. He has over a decade of experience in public accounting, with over 6 years of focused work in the construction tax industry, working on hundreds of construction tax returns in that time.
Thomas likes to use the term “Creative Accounting” in connection with the myriad of accounting methods and opportunities available to Contractors with long-term contracts – a level of creativity is required when considering the best method for a contractor for their situation. Prior to joining Saltmarsh, Thomas worked at various national and local firms.
Thomas also has a strong background in State and Local Tax Work, utilizing PTET studies to find ways to save taxpayers money, as well as preparing and reviewing nexus studies to evaluate filing requirements in various states. In his free time, Thomas is an oboist with the Tampa Bay Symphony, and can often be found kayaking the waters or riding his motorcycle on the roads of Tampa Bay.
